We are seeking an energetic, organized Kitchen Lead to oversee our high-volume back-of-house operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and keeps the line running like clockwork during peak rushes. As a cornerstone of our kitchen culture, you must have proven leadership experienceand a collaborative, team-first attitude to motivate staff and maintain high food quality.Key Responsibilities
- Shift Management: Direct daily line operations, station assignments, and ticket pacing during high-volume meal services.
- Team Leadership: Train, coach, and support kitchen staff on prep, plating consistency, and speed.
- Quality Control: Inspect plates for presentation, recipe accuracy, temperature, and taste consistency before service.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Front of House (FOH) staff and management to maximize customer satisfaction and coordinate service.
- Safety & Hygiene: Enforce strict compliance with local health department regulations, food handling guidelines, and sanitation protocols.
- Inventory Control: Assist with daily prep lists, stock rotation (FIFO), ordering, and waste reduction.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant kitchen.
- Team Player: Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, supportive work environment devoid of drama.
- Stress Tolerance: Ability to stay calm, professional, and solutions-oriented during high-pressure rushes.
- Certifications: ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification is highly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for up to 8–10 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability: Flexibility to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
