OnPoint is a veteran-founded logistics technology company supporting secure, reliable delivery on and around U.S. military installations.
We are onboarding independent contractor delivery drivers for grocery delivery opportunities at NAVSTA Norfolk. Contractors pick up grocery orders that are already packed and staged at the on-base store, then deliver them to customers using a mobile delivery app for navigation, status updates, and proof of delivery.
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, similar to other app-based grocery and last-mile delivery platforms. Contractors are responsible for providing their own vehicle, smartphone, data service, fuel, insurance, and ordinary operating expenses.
Applicants with current credentialed access to NAVSTA Norfolk will receive priority review. Applicants without current installation access may still apply, but onboarding is subject to eligibility, sponsorship availability, and approval by the applicable installation access authority. Access requirements may include REAL ID-compliant identification or another acceptable form of ID, background screening, and any other standards required by the installation.
Basic requirements include:
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle
- Current auto insurance
- Smartphone with data service
- Ability to lift and carry grocery bags a reasonable distance
- Ability to complete deliveries safely, professionally, and accurately
Compensation: $1.00 per paid mile, with a $5.00 minimum per completed delivery, plus 100% of customer tips.
