PROJECT MANAGER – HVAC / MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION
Altair Enterprises Corp, a growing commercial HVAC and mechanical contractor based in Queens, NY, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects throughout the New York metropolitan area.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from contract award through project closeout
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, equipment deliveries, and field personnel
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, change orders, and project schedules
- Attend project meetings and maintain communication with owners, engineers, architects, and general contractors
- Track project costs, budgets, and progress to ensure successful project execution
- Coordinate startup, controls, testing and balancing, and closeout documentation
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in HVAC, mechanical, or related construction
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
Compensation:
$90,000 – $125,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Higher compensation may be considered for exceptional candidates.
