Position Overview
This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced construction professional with strong estimating, sales, and project management skills. The ideal candidate understands residential construction from the ground up and is comfortable meeting with homeowners, measuring projects, preparing estimates, selling projects, ordering materials, and coordinating project schedules.
Responsibilities
- Meet with homeowners and conduct site visits.
- Measure projects and gather information for estimates.
- Prepare accurate labor and material estimates.
- Present proposals and close sales.
- Purchase and coordinate delivery of materials.
- Organize and track materials for upcoming projects.
- Schedule crews, subcontractors, and project timelines.
- Communicate with customers throughout the project.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor job costs and maintain project profitability.
- Assist with problem-solving and field coordination when needed.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of construction industry experience.
- Extensive knowledge of residential construction and remodeling.
- Experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, flooring, roofing, windows, doors, and other residential trades.
- Proven estimating and job costing experience.
- Proven sales experience with the ability to close projects.
- Strong understanding of construction materials and purchasing.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and scheduling abilities.
- Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient with computers, email, spreadsheets, and construction software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple remodeling projects simultaneously.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Buildertrend, JobTread, or similar construction management software.
- Florida residential remodeling experience.
- Existing relationships with local suppliers and subcontractors.
