Schedule: Monday - Friday, Estimated 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM
About the Role:
We are looking for 2 dedicated and experienced Physical Therapists to join our school-based team serving Pre-K aged students. This is a full-time hourly position (not per session) working across two locations in Yaphank and Islip
Estimated caseload is approximately 10 sessions per day.
Schedule & Dates:
Summer School: July 6, 2026 - August 14, 2026
Regular School Year: September 2, 2026 - June 26, 2027
Hours: Monday - Friday, Estimated 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to Pre-K students in a school setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in accordance with student IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Requirements:
- Active NYS Physical Therapist License in good standing
- Fingerprinted by the NYS Department of Education (NYSDOE)
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a school setting
- Minimum 1 year of experience with IEPs
- Experience with Pre-K or early childhood population preferred
- Reliable transportation for travel between sites
This is a full-time hourly position. Compensation is based on hours worked, not per session.
Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour
