Position Overview
We are hiring a Licensed Esthetician / Sugarist to perform body sugaring services and build lasting relationships with our clientele. The ideal candidate is responsible, motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Sugaring experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person who holds a current esthetician or cosmetology license and brings the right attitude, energy, and work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional body sugaring services on a variety of clients and body areas
- Provide a warm, consultative experience for every client — listening to their needs and recommending appropriate services or aftercare
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Keep treatment rooms, workstations, and common areas clean, sanitized, and well-stocked at all times
- Follow all state sanitation, safety, and licensing requirements
- Maintain accurate client records and service notes
- Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled shifts and appointments
- Support a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to a welcoming studio culture
- Stay current on sugaring techniques, skin care trends, and product knowledge
Qualifications
- Required: Current and valid state Esthetician or Cosmetology license
- Customer service experience (salon, spa, hospitality, or similar client-facing role)
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own book and downtime productively
- Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a small team
- Professional appearance and a vibrant, welcoming personality
- Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail
Preferred (Not Required)
- Prior experience with body sugaring or waxing
- Existing client following
- Knowledge of skin care products and post-treatment care
- Booking software experience (e.g., Vagaro, Mindbody, Square)
