About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cash Specialist to join our Accounting team in Tampa. This hybrid position supports daily cash management, banking, commission and accounts receivable reconciliation, and treasury activities while working closely with Finance leadership and other departments.
This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports. You will serve as a resource to the team, provide training and backup support, and help improve financial processes and controls.

What You’ll Do
Cash Management and Banking
- Manage daily cash activity, account balances, cash movements, and funding needs, and prepare daily cash position reports, forecasts, and liquidity reporting.
- Process positive pay, stop payments, payment reissuance, ACH transactions, wire transfers, and premium refund checks.
- Work with banking partners to research and resolve account, payment, and transaction issues.
Reconciliations and Accounting
- Prepare and review bank reconciliations, monthly journal entries, and assigned cash and balance sheet accounts, resolving complex or outstanding items as needed.
- Support month end and year end close, audit requests, accounts receivable, escheatment, and 1099 processing.
Agent Commissions
- Process and review agent commission payments for accuracy, research discrepancies between systems, and support stop payments and check reissuance when needed.
Controls and Team Support
- Follow established cash management, banking, payment, and security controls.
- Identify recurring issues, maintain cash and banking procedures, and support process, system, control, and reporting improvements.
- Serve as a senior resource, provide training and cross training, and partner across departments to resolve cash and payment issues.
What You Bring
- At least four years of experience in cash management, treasury, banking, accounts payable, accounting, or a related area.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience with bank reconciliations, cash reporting, ACH transactions, wire transfers, and payment processing.
- Knowledge of cash management, banking, treasury systems, accounting software, and insurance policy administration systems.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
