Job Summary
The Operations, Cooking Trailer Driver & Setup Specialist is responsible for transporting, setting up, operating, and breaking down the mobile cooking trailer for events and food service operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient daily operations, food safety compliance, and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely tow and transport the cooking trailer to event locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and trailer.
- Set up and break down cooking equipment, serving stations, and operational areas.
- Connect and manage utilities including power, water, and propane systems.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, serving, and event operations as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times.
- Load and unload food, supplies, equipment, and inventory.
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report maintenance concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, health department regulations, and safety requirements.
- Represent the company professionally and provide excellent customer service.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience towing trailers or operating commercial vehicles preferred.
- Food service, catering, food truck, or event operations experience preferred.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Handler or ServSafe certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and walking.
- Experience towing trailers or operating commercial vehicles preferred.
- Food service, catering, food truck, or event operations experience preferred.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take initiative.
