We are seeking a CDL Class A Driver to join our Team! We are a small 4 truck company looking for drivers to safely and efficiently move heavy and oversized machinery and industrial components in and around the midwest. There will be ABSOLUTLEY ZERO running east of Wisconsin unless desired.
Scope of work:
- You would be operating a BRAND NEW Peterbilt 589 Semi with 2023 and newer Stepdeck or RGN/Lowboy trailers
- You will be working directly with the owners on a daily basis
- You will be working Mon-Fri.
- You will be required to work a Sat. or Sun. regularly throughout 6-7 month busy season.
- Most winters slow down to much more relaxed pace allowing for majority of weekends off
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a semi w/trailer
- Communicate well with customers and dispatch
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently
- Properly track and complete shipping documents
- Keep equipment clean and in good operating condition
- Inspect truck before and after trip
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of verifiable open deck experience or 5 years of verifiable Class A CDL experience (will entertain candidates without experience listed above on a very limited case by case basis)
- Oversize load experience would be a plus but not required
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills is required
- Must be knowledgeable on load securement
- Ability to handle physical workload (Lift 100lbs regularly and be able to climb up and down equipment while loading and unloading)
- Strong work ethic (Long work days)
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening
- Tobacco use (smoking) not permitted

Pay: $6,000.00 - $10,000.00 per month
