Position Description: The Estimator / Project Manager’s primary responsibility is two-fold; (1) bid and secure projects within the Commercial / Private Market with an emphasis on Asphalt Paving & Grading, and (2) overall management to the satisfaction of the Client and the standards of not only the industry, but that of Park Construction.
What to expect as a PM/Estimator at Park
o Accurately estimate quantities and productions/crews required
o Evaluate design options and recommend alternative solutions or approaches as needed to secure work
o Review proposal requirements
o Review plans/specifications
o Determine client needs and budgets to facilitate the best solutions for continued work for years to come
o Negotiate and secure contracts
o Complete job setup including subcontracts and purchase orders
o Post contract award provides preconstruction meeting and initial guidance on project requirements.
o Works closely with operations to ensure effective communication and coordination specific to the project requirements.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues for the project including coordinating with project superintendent, Owner, general contractor, city, county, and subcontractors
o Authorize and approve all project transactions for materials and subcontractors
o Track job costs and accurately project cost to complete – complete fiscal responsibility
o Maintain positive customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
o Develop, maintain and foster business relationships with Clients
