Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
- Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
- Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and confidential.
- Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during patient treatments.
- Monitor vital signs and assist in patient management to ensure comfort and safety throughout appointments.
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical records and documentation.
- Support the dental reception area by managing patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, and coordinating follow-up care using patient management software.
- Follow strict infection control protocols including dental sterilization procedures, dental instrument processing, and infection prevention measures to uphold healthcare standards.
- Operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools with proficiency.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote ongoing wellness.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant within a busy dental clinic environment, demonstrating proficiency in general dentistry procedures.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Hands-on experience with dental equipment including X-ray machines, sterilization tools, 3D scanners, and other clinical devices.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for accurate record keeping and documentation management.
- Expertise in infection control practices aligned with healthcare standards for infection prevention management.
- Ability to perform dental assisting tasks such as oral surgery support, endodontic procedures, prosthodontic assistance, and pediatric dentistry support confidently.
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control policies along with aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety at all times.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members including dentists, hygienists, reception staff, and patients.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
