Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, with the ability to maintain an organized and aseptic surgical field.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for surgery.
- Set up surgical trays and assist with the positioning of patients.
- Provide support to the surgeon by passing instruments, sutures and supplies during procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient care during the procedure and in the recovery phase.
- Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and patient information.
Requirements (preferred; willing to train motivated candidate):
- Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant (implants, 3rd molars, IV sedation) preferred.
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as DSN, Eaglesoft, WinOMS
- Experience with dental imaging (CBCT, panoramic and intra-oral x-rays).
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, professionalism, and reliable attendance.
