Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable RIC Licensed Budtender to join our vibrant retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs, providing detailed product demos when appropriate
- Maintain thorough knowledge of retail store product offerings, including cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, cash register operations, and cash handling with accuracy
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations regarding cannabis sales, including verifying customer IDs and RIC license status
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and manage inventory levels to ensure an attractive and well-maintained store environment
- Conduct merchandising activities to promote featured products and seasonal items effectively
- Provide excellent customer service through clear communication, phone etiquette, and attentive listening
- Assist with product demos to educate customers about new or popular items while ensuring compliance with legal standards
- Handle cash drawer responsibly, balancing registers at shift end and maintaining accurate retail math records
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience in a fast-paced environment such as grocery stores or specialty retail preferred
- Supervising experience or leadership roles in retail settings is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations required
- Experience in customer service roles that involve upselling or product demonstrations highly desirable
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette essential
- Knowledge of cannabis products or related industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key
