Job Summary
Shuttle Operator will oversee day-to-day check-in and transportation of guests and assist with facilitating activity operations. Shuttle Operator will be responsible for checking the schedule, corresponding to guests prior to their scheduled activity and assisting with outfitting guests upon arrival in preparation for their upcoming experience. Shuttle operator will be responsible for screening guests upon arrival, ensuring guests have completed liability waivers and have been properly outfitted prior to departure. Our Shuttle operator will be expected to communicate closely with reservation and activity team members to ensure a smooth and timely operation. Shuttle operator will be expected to transport guests to and from operating sites while providing entertaining and/or engaging conversation along the way. Shuttle Operator will be expected to adhere to general public and assist with our on-site activity team when necessary. Shuttle operators will be expected to abide by all Federal, State and Company Rules and Regulations and will be expected to notify management of any observations that may differ from normal day to day operations or training. Shuttle Operators will be expected to arrive to work on-site and conduct a thorough walk-around and daily maintenance check of vehicles to ensure safe and operable conditions. Shuttle Operator will be expected to promptly report any damage or defects and complete or help team members complete incident reports as necessary. Shuttle operator will be based out of our Clearly Tahoe shop location and will be trained and expected to help fulfill basic Sales Associate job duties when necessary. Shuttle operators may be asked to assist with transporting staff, guests and equipment or supplies between operating locations and may be asked to run errands that require driving from time to time. Shuttle Operator should have proficient kayaking/biking knowledge and skills and will act as support-staff to our on-site activities team.
Duties
- Arrive to work on time as scheduled
- Review weather and daily manifest report
- Check for any operational updates
- Communicate with guests prior to arrival
- Answer the phone and basic questions
- Provide directions and assistance when necessary
- Help with basic questions and recommendations
- Screen guests upon arrival
- Ensure all guests are paid up and all participants have completed liability waivers at check-in
- Safely transport guests, team members, and/or equipment between operating locations as scheduled
- Attach/detach and pull trailers as necessary
- Assist with setup and/or breakdown of equipment when possible/necessary
- Guide guests into/out of vessels and shuttles as needed
- Engage with guests during check-in, transport, and farewell process
- Communicate with various company departments to ensure activities run timely and without issue
- Conduct routine safety and maintenance checks
- Fuel up vehicles when necessary
- Keep meticulous records of guest correspondence, loss, damage, observations, and incidents
- Assist with the check-out process for guests
- Ensure all guests have an enjoyable experience
- Assist the activities team on-site when necessary
- Respond to emergencies by following the Emergency Action Plan/protocol when necessary
- Ensure incidents are properly logged and reported
- Help train other shuttle operators
- Fulfill regular shop tasks by default
- Run errands when necessary
Experience / Qualifications
- Must be fluent in English (bilingual preferred)
- Age 25+
- Clean driving record
- Pass background check
- Lift 50 lbs. regularly
- 2+ years customer service experience (preferred)
- American Red Cross First Aid/CPR
- Valid Drivers License
- CDL Class B (preferred)
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
