Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Support food running and serving duties to ensure timely delivery of orders to guests
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting and safe lifting practices when moving supplies or equipment
- Buse tables, clear plates, and assist with in-person customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
- Follow food safety protocols for proper handling, storage, and disposal of ingredients and waste
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and billing when needed
- Contribute to a team environment by communicating effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and kitchen operations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service periods
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interactions
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
- Experience with banquet service or hotel culinary operations is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly, accurately, and maintain high standards under pressure
