Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle food safety and sanitation standards diligently, including proper food handling and cleanliness protocols
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations accurately during transactions
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining a clean dining area to support smooth restaurant operations
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently and optimize guest flow
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Ability to multitask effectively with excellent time management skills in a fast-paced setting
- Serving or host/hostess experience is a plus, along with basic math proficiency for cash handling and transactions
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial but is not required; enthusiasm for learning about food preparation is valued
