American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring 1-2 years of CV experience and an IN state or compact RN license.

Work in the Open Heart Surgery unit within a 4 OR suite hospital setting
-
Circulate complex cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases
-
Case types include CABG, AVR, MVR, Ascending Aortic Aneurysms, Aortic Root Replacements, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repairs, Femoral-Popliteal Bypass, Carotid Endarterectomy, AV fistula, Impella placement, Ventricular Assist Devices, ECMO cases, Thoracotomy, and Robotic Thoracotomy

1:1 patient ratio

Shift runs 6:30am-5:00pm

Call requirements include every 5th weekday and every 5th weekend

No option for a block schedule

Uses Cerner EMR
-
13-week assignment duration

Active RN license (IN state or compact) required

BLS certification required
-
Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of start

1-2 years of recent experience in cardiovascular OR required

Skilled in circulating complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases

No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Driver's license with permanent home address matching ID required for consideration

Scrubs are provided by the hospital

Candidates must reside greater than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position

RTO requests must be less than 1 week

Candidates who have worked at the health system as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
