Purpose of Job
The purpose of this classification is to assist the Program Manager in implementing projects, programs, and services of the Department of Community Development.
Essential Functions

Compile and maintain records to ensure grant compliance and timeliness.

Maintain budget documents, perform grant reconciliations and prepare reporting for local, state and federal agencies.

Oversee annual equipment inventory process and reporting.

Perform research and assist program manager in developing training plans for regional and local responders.

Manage the promotion, registration, and event logistics for regional training program.

Handle procurement for grant funded equipment and training projects.

Assist program manager with local and regional grant request submission.

Respond to and report immediately if called upon by local, regional or central office supervisors, as part of a coordinated emergency response by the Knox County Mayor’s Office.

Ensure regular, punctual attendance during scheduled work hours

Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Training & Qualifications
-
Associate degree in related field, bachelor’s degree preferred.

FEMA Incident Management Training - ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 (upon selection or within 12 months of hire).

One-year related experience.
