Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Assist in meal preparation by slicing, dicing, and cooking ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and food processors.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Support the team during busy service periods by managing multiple orders and ensuring timely delivery of meals.
- Follow food handling procedures diligently to ensure safety and hygiene throughout food production.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication, efficient workflow, and adherence to menu plans.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering environments is highly desirable.
- Strong culinary skills including knife techniques, slicing methods, and recipe adherence.
- Experience with food safety management and understanding of safety standards in production.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
- A proactive attitude towards cleaning duties, food preparation, and maintaining a safe kitchen environment.
