Electrician Apprentice
About the Role
We're looking for a motivated Electrician Apprentice who's ready to learn a trade, build real skills, and grow into a great career. No attitude required — just a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and pride in doing things right. You'll work alongside experienced, licensed electricians on residential jobs, learning everything from the fundamentals to more advanced techniques, while also picking up the customer service side of the business that makes a great electrician stand out.
This is more than an entry-level job — it's the start of a career path. If you're someone who wants to grow, earn your license, and eventually make real money in this trade, we want to invest in you.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, repair, and maintenance of residential electrical systems
- Learn to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
- Help prep job sites, gather materials, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Run wire, install outlets/switches/fixtures, and assist with panel work under supervision
- Observe and learn proper diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques
- Begin learning how to communicate with homeowners professionally and represent the company well
- Follow all safety protocols and NEC code requirements
- Log required apprenticeship hours and complete any required coursework or certifications
- Show up on time, ready to work, and eager to learn something new every day
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong desire to learn the electrical trade and build a long-term career
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to lift, climb, kneel, and work in various physical conditions (attics, crawlspaces, ladders, etc.)
- Good attitude, coachability, and willingness to take direction
- Basic math skills (measurements, fractions)
Preferred:
- Enrolled in or willing to enroll in an electrical apprenticeship program or trade school
- Prior experience in construction, maintenance, or hands-on trade work
- Interest in eventually working toward Journeyman/Master electrician licensing
- Comfortable interacting with customers in their homes
What Makes This Role Different
- Real mentorship — you'll learn directly from experienced electricians, not just watch YouTube videos
- A clear path to grow from apprentice → licensed electrician → top earner
- Exposure to both the technical trade AND the customer service/sales side of the business
- We invest in people who want to grow — the harder you work and the more you learn, the faster you move up
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay with room to grow as you gain skills and hours
- On-the-job training and mentorship from licensed electricians
- Support toward apprenticeship hours/certification requirements
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off and holidays
- Tools/equipment provided or allowance
- A real career path, not just a job
