The Interim Director of Accounting is responsible for day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial accuracy, compliance, and leadership of core accounting staff — with Lawson as a core system requirement.
This is a 3-5 month assignment, fully remote.

Month‑End Close & Reporting
Director manages:
- Monthly close for hospital + network entities
- Consolidated financial statements
- Balance sheet reconciliation oversight
- Variance analysis and departmental reporting
- Integration of Strata outputs into leadership reporting
Audit & Compliance
Director supports:
- Annual external audit preparation
- Internal audit coordination
- Compliance with:
- CMS cost reporting
- NY DOH financial requirements
- IRS nonprofit reporting
- Grant accounting requirements
- Policy updates and documentation control
Accounting Operations
Oversight of:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Payroll
- General ledger
- Fixed assets
- Cash management and bank reconciliations
Process Improvement & Systems
- Optimization of accounting workflows
- Strengthening internal controls
- Improving reporting automation
- Supporting ERP enhancements
- Ensuring Strata and ERP data integrity
- Cross‑department collaboration to streamline financial processes
Pay: $160,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
Work Location: Remote
