ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The City of Tracy is excited to offer an opportunity for a creative and community-minded Cultural Arts Education Assistant to support our growing Cultural Arts Program. This role assists with both arts education and the exhibition program, helping bring meaningful cultural experiences to residents of all ages. As part of the education team, the Assistant will help prepare and lead hands-on classes, workshops, and activities. We’re looking for someone who is both an artist and an emerging educator — someone who enjoys working with students, supporting curriculum delivery, and fostering an inclusive, creative learning environment.
The position also plays a key role in supporting gallery operations, including coordinating with artists, assisting with curation, and helping install and maintain exhibitions. Candidates with gallery experience or familiarity with art handling are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a great opportunity for an early-career arts professional who wants to contribute to a vibrant cultural program, collaborate with staff and local artists, and help enrich the cultural life of Tracy through public service and creative engagement.
