Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and supervision for animals housed in kennels, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed.
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold health standards.
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to prevent injury and stress.
- Assist with dog enrichment activities to promote good behavior and socialization.
- Basic animal handling, veterinary technician tasks, or grooming/bathing procedures when needed.
- Monitor animals’ health and behavior and report any concerns or abnormalities to management promptly.
- Engage with the community through excellent customer service, answering questions about services offered.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance Policy
- Prior experience in pet grooming, pet sitting, or animal handling is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and kennel experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with animal transport.
- Strong understanding of animal restraint methods and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Previous work as a veterinary assistant or kennel technician is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and a proactive attitude toward animal care responsibilities.
