SUMMARY: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team, focusing on students from Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for music, foster creativity, and develop musical skills in young learners. This full-time position requires a dynamic educator who can create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, promoting both individual and collaborative learning experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum aligned with state standards for Pre-K through 5th grade.

Teach music theory, vocal techniques, instrumental skills, and music appreciation through a variety of teaching methods and technologies.

Plan and conduct engaging music lessons that accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Organize and lead school performances, concerts, and other musical events to showcase student progress and talent.

Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to integrate music into other subject areas and enhance overall student learning.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and teamwork.

Maintain a safe and organized classroom space, ensuring all musical instruments and materials are well cared for.

Stay current with developments in music education and participate in professional development opportunities.

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field.

Valid teaching certification or license in music education for the appropriate grade levels.

Experience teaching music to young children, preferably in a school setting.

Strong knowledge of music theory, vocal and instrumental techniques, and various music genres.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.

Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for diverse learners.

Proficiency in playing multiple musical instruments is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
