Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Asset Technician to assist with a short-term RFID asset tagging project at our client's office in Andover, Massachusetts. The technician will be responsible for applying RFID tags to IT equipment, accurately recording asset information, and ensuring all inventory data is entered correctly into the client's asset management system.
This role is ideal for technicians with experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or data center/lab environments who have excellent attention to detail and can work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Affix RFID tags to designated IT assets and equipment.
- Scan and verify RFID tags for accuracy.
- Record and update asset information within the client's inventory database.
- Verify serial numbers and asset information before applying RFID tags.
- Ensure all assets are tagged according to project standards.
- Identify and report any missing, damaged, or unidentifiable equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the project.
- Communicate project progress and any issues to the project manager.
- Follow all onsite safety and security procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience with IT asset management, inventory projects, or hardware deployments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working around computers, servers, networking equipment, and other IT hardware.
- Ability to accurately record serial numbers and asset information.
- Basic computer proficiency for entering inventory data.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Professional demeanor while working in an active office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous RFID tagging experience.
- Experience working in data centers, laboratories, or enterprise IT environments.
- Familiarity with asset management or inventory tracking systems.
- Experience performing hardware audits or equipment inventories.

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
