North Metro TV is looking for a part-time video producer to direct and produce City of Blaine meetings. Primary responsibilities include directing the meetings and overseeing their live streaming from Blaine City Hall. Other responsibilities may include participating in additional evening productions.
Responsibilities:
- Direct/record live city meetings
- Use a variety of different camera angles
- Create graphics to be used during the meetings
- Develop rapport with city council and city staff
- Mark agenda-item times for meeting bookmarking
- Find news/municipal story ideas in meetings
- Communicate with master control/video engineer as necessary
This position pays $21.86 per hour. Producers receive a minimum of three hours of pay for each meeting, regardless of the meeting length. Meetings requiring live bookmarking include a minimum of four and a half hours of pay. Meetings are held intermittently Monday through Wednesday evenings at Blaine City Hall, with schedules typically provided about a month in advance. Candidates must be able to communicate clearly, work independently, and be available for evening assignments.
