Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. This role involves caring for children of various ages (Developmental Kindergarten-5th Grade) providing support in their developmental growth, and ensuring their well-being while fostering a positive atmosphere. This is a split shift job. 6:30- 9 am and 3:30-6 pm, 25 hours a week. I am willing to consider an applicant that is able to take only one shift.
Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities
- Provide care for school-aged children, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Educate children through play-based learning, encouraging curiosity and creativity.
- Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among children.
- Assist with daily schedules and planning activities
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive childcare program.
- MUST SHOW UP DAILY AND ON TIME
Experience
- Previous experience in babysitting, daycare, or childcare settings is preferred.
- multitasking and working with large groups
- Experience managing behavior in classroom settings or similar environments is an asset.
- Ability to work with children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities, is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with children and families.
