Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Resident Care Aide (RCA) to assist our wound care providers at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Sun City Center. This is a great opportunity for someone with wound care experience—or an individual eager to grow their skills and gain hands-on experience in a specialized clinical setting. Duties
- Assist the wound care provider with patient flow, including room setup, supply preparation, and turnover for 20–30 patients per day across SNF and ALF facilities.
- Support wound treatments by preparing and handing off supplies, assisting with positioning, and maintaining a clean/sterile field per protocol.
- Perform and document basic clinical tasks such as vital signs, wound measurements (as directed), and intake/output or other ordered observations.
- Ensure proper infection control practices, including cleaning equipment, disposing of biohazard materials, and maintaining compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Communicate patient status, changes in condition, and concerns promptly to the provider and facility nursing staff.
- Maintain inventory of wound care supplies, restock daily kits, and coordinate with staff to ensure all necessary materials are available for scheduled rounds.
Skills
- Knowledge of basic wound care principles and infection control practices
- Ability to assist with sterile/clean procedures and maintain proper field technique
- Strong vital signs and patient observation skills with attention to detail
- Efficient time management and ability to keep pace with a 20–30 patient daily schedule
- Excellent communication skills with providers, nursing staff, and patients
- Ability to recognize and report changes in patient condition promptly
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and accurate clinical documentation
- Strong organizational skills, including supply management and room setup/turnover
- Patient-centered care approach with compassion and professionalism
- Ability to work independently in the field across multiple SNF/ALF locations

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
