Job Summary
Join our dynamic landscaping team as a Lawn & Landscaping Crew Member, where your enthusiasm and hands-on skills will help transform outdoor spaces into beautiful, functional environments. In this role, you will actively participate in maintaining and enhancing landscapes through mowing, planting, pruning, and installing hardscape features. Responsibilities
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to perform lawn care and landscaping tasks efficiently.
- Assist with landscape maintenance activities such as planting, pruning, mulching, and weed control to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Use hand tools and machinery like shovels, rakes, excavators, and hardscape equipment for installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features.
- Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and maintenance; apply horticultural knowledge for plant health.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment for yourself and teammates.
- Support seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or tree trimming as needed to keep outdoor spaces safe and attractive year-round.
Experience
- Previous outdoor work experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related fields is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and hardscape installation is a plus.
- Experience operating groundskeeping equipment like lawn mowers, power tools, excavators or tree care machinery is advantageous.
- Ability to identify various plants and trees along with understanding basic horticulture principles will support your success in this role.
- Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence ensures a secure environment for everyone on site.
- Outdoor work experience in construction or groundskeeping positions demonstrates your readiness for the physical demands of this role.
