Overview
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Dietary Aide to join our food service team. In this role, you will support the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and serving residents or guests in a caring and efficient manner. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about food service, has some culinary or kitchen experience, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Assist with meal planning and preparation according to dietary guidelines and menu specifications.
- Support food safety and proper handling practices during food preparation and serving.
- Help with food presentation, ensuring meals are appealing and served timely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and sanitation tasks.
- Serve meals to residents or guests with kindness, patience, and professionalism.
- Support catering events or special meal occasions as needed.
- Follow all health regulations and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments, food service, or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and basic culinary techniques such as knife skills and meal preparation.
- Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and cooking is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with team members and residents or guests.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation, catering, and serving.
