Job Description
Our Truck Driver / Shop Manager Assistant will be responsible for the safe operation of truck & trailer as well as the timely delivery of equipment. This hands-on position is responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance, assisting our Shop Manager, and the repairing & troubleshooting of trucks and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and consistently follow directions and instructions
- Loading & unloading materials
- Be able to perform physical work
- Operation of truck and trailer in accordance with state and federal laws
- Loading, securing and unloading trailer
- Maintain records, logs, and inspections reports
- Report appropriate information regarding incidents and job sites
- Perform truck safety inspections before, during, and after deliveries
- Have all construction equipment ready for deployment in the field as necessary
- Organize and keep protected as needed surplus materials
- Be prepared and ready to assist in the field as required
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid Class A CDL. If you do not currently have a Class A CDL, we will help pay for your certification upon employment commitment.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Able to lift 100 lbs at any given time
- Must be able to pass DOT physical
- Must be able to drive a stick-shift Flatbed truck
- Must have a clean driving record
- Knowledge or work experience with a construction company preferred
- Multi-tasking and responsibility prioritization
- Manual dexterity
- Near/Far Vision
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle
- Reliability, dependability & flexibility
