Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical pharmacy, with experience in various settings . This role involves providing exceptional patient service, conducting patient assessments, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. The Staff Pharmacist will play a crucial role in medication management, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services including medication therapy management and patient care.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to ensure optimal medication use.
- Maintain accurate inventory management of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Utilize pharmacy software, EMR systems, and EHR systems for efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Educate patients on medication administration, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
- Experience in LTC pharmacy, critical care, pediatrics, or hospital settings is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with compounding medications and aseptic techniques is essential.

Pay: $53.00 - $55.00 per hour
