We are seeking a motivated and eager Electrical Apprentice looking to gain hands-on experience and expand their knowledge in the electrical trade. As an Electrical Apprentice , you will work under the supervision of experienced electricians, assisting in various tasks related to electrical installations and maintenance on construction sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in both low and high voltage systems while adhering to safety standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively, including voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Support electricians in performing tasks related to frame carpentry as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on construction sites.
- Participate in troubleshooting electrical issues under the guidance of experienced staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficient operations.
- Learn about low voltage and high voltage systems through practical application.
Requirements
- At least 2 years experience working on a commercial jobsite
- Must be familiar with using hand and power tools
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety.
- Willingness to learn about the National Electrical Code (NEC) and apply it in practical situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be physically capable of performing manual labor tasks associated with the electrical trade.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
