Job description
- Mobile euthanasia and hospice care in NYC.
- Typically see 3-6 patients per day
- Flexible schedule - choose your hours!
- Use a practice vehicle or your own car (if you use your own car, get reimbursed tax free at a rate of 72 cents per mile - that's an extra $5000 or so TAX FREE each year!)
- No bagging and storing bodies! At the end of every day, a driver will meet you at your last appointment to take the patients.
- 3 days a week on the road (typical days are 8-9 hours door-to-door), plus a half day working from home doing telemedicine
Job requirements
- Excellent bedside manner and client communication skills
- Ability to drive safely and parallel park
- Ability to lift up to about 40 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds with help
- Possession of a smartphone for navigation, medical records, etc. Ability to learn and adapt to new software. Possession of a laptop or tablet
- Possession of (or ability/willingness to obtain) a valid driver’s license, NY state veterinary license, DEA license, and malpractice insurance
- At least 1 year veterinary experience
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: $150,000
- Production bonus: up to $210,000 or more with production bonus
- 4 weeks vacation
- Reimbursement of veterinary license, DEA license, malpractice insurance
- 401k with 4% match
- Medical: $300/month of health insurance reimbursement through QSEHRA
- Continuing education: $1000/year CE
- Car allowance (if you use your own car): TAX FREE reimbursement of approximately $400-$600 per month (based on 0.72 cents per mile driven). We also cover your tolls and parking of course.
