Overview
We are seeking a passionate Kindergarten Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love of education. In this role, you will create a nurturing classroom environment that fosters early childhood development, promotes literacy and numeracy skills, and encourages social-emotional growth while integrating Islamic values and manners into daily routines and lessons. With small class sizes averaging around 10 students per teacher, you will have the opportunity to provide focused attention and build meaningful relationships within the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
- Monitor student progress through assessments, standardized testing, and performance data analysis.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management.
- Integrate Islamic values, manners, and character education into daily teaching and classroom interactions.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development, achievements, and areas for improvement through parent-teacher meetings and written reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and school-wide initiatives to ensure consistent educational quality.
- Maintain compliance with educational regulations and standards while ensuring a safe, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
- Experience teaching young children in an early childhood or elementary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum implementation, and classroom management techniques.
- Strong knowledge of Islamic values and the ability to incorporate them into classroom practice.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, curriculum development, and maintaining detailed records of student progress.

- Relocation assistance is not available for this role. Candidates must already reside in the New York City area.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
