Maintenance Technician / Property Grounds Specialist

Seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Tech/Grounds Specialist to support our vacation rental and managed property portfolio year-round. This role includes property maintenance, grounds care, seasonal services, storm response, carpentry projects, and special installations.
We are seeking someone reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating maintenance equipment, towing trailers, and completing a wide variety of projects.
Property Maintenance & Repairs
- Small maintenance repairs at rental properties as needs arise
- Basic plumbing and/or electrical
- Painting
- Door hardware, locks, and fixture repairs
- Window washing and exterior upkeep
- Power/soft washing
- Assist with special projects and property improvements
- Car detailing
Carpentry & Installation Projects
- Small carpentry projects
- Hanging cabinets , drywall and shelving
- Siding repairs and siding installs
- Window installation and replacement
- Trim work and minor framing repairs
- Other improvement projects as assigned
Grounds, Seasonal & Storm Services
- Lawn mowing and trimming
- Spring and fall cleanups
- Weekly landscape care
- Winterization checks and seasonal prep
- Snow removal (shoveling and snowblower)
- Ice storm cleanup and debris removal
- Garbage removal
- Monitoring properties for weather-related damage or hazards
Equipment & Operations
- Operate maintenance equipment safely (mowers and snow equipment)
- Auto maintenance and cleaning of interior/exterior of cars
- Load, pull, and safely back up a trailer
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Document work with notes/photos when needed
Qualifications
- Experience in property maintenance, landscaping, carpentry, or handyman services
- Ability to perform small carpentry and installation projects
- Ability to operate lawn and snow equipment
- Comfortable towing and backing up a trailer
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Strong communication skills
- Availability for occasional urgent needs (weather or guest-related)
