Job Summary
We are seeking both entry level and experienced dedicated and, skilled Line Cook/Prep Cooks to join our culinary team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in maintaining the kitchen's efficiency and ensuring that all food preparation meets our restaurant's standards for excellence.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all tools are properly maintained.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
Skills
- Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills, including knife skills.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures within the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork in a busy kitchen environment.
- Previous experience as a dietary aide or in catering can be advantageous but is not required.
