Fleet Strategy Group is seeking an experienced and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our team.
This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on commercial fleet vehicles including box trucks and medium-duty trucks. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced working in a fast-paced fleet maintenance environment.
Your work will ensure our vehicles remain safe, reliable, and compliant with DOT standards while supporting daily fleet operations.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on commercial fleet vehicles
- Perform preventive maintenance on box trucks, trucks, and other fleet vehicles
- Repair and replace engines, brakes, suspension, and drivetrain components
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Perform DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Communicate repair needs and updates with the shop team and supervisors
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience as a fleet or diesel mechanic
- Experience working with box trucks, medium-duty trucks, or commercial vehicles
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair issues efficiently
- Experience working in a shop or fleet maintenance environment
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- CDL Class A – Required
- ASE certification is a plus
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
