Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations within our production facility. This role is vital in ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production processes. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily activities on the manufacturing floor, coordinate teams, and implement process improvements to meet production goals. Your leadership will drive safety adherence, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives to support our commitment to quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production teams on the assembly line, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to schedules.
- Monitor manufacturing processes, utilizing measuring instruments and technical drawings to ensure precision and quality standards are met.
- Manage safety protocols rigorously, enforcing safety standards in production, manual handling procedures, and safe operation of power tools and heavy lifting equipment.
- Interpret production documents and technical drawings to facilitate accurate assembly and mechanical tasks.
- Utilize forklifts and hand tools effectively for material handling, component movement, and assembly tasks within the factory environment.
- Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflow efficiency, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and managing continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing management practices, safety standards, and quality control procedures across all operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in factory or manufacturing facility environments with a strong understanding of assembly line operations.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using measuring instruments, power tools, hand tools, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Prior experience managing production or assembly teams with a focus on safety protocol adherence and process optimization.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with manufacturing management systems, lean manufacturing principles, and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong manual handling skills with the physical capability for heavy lifting as required in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret technical documents clearly and effectively.
