Job Title: Pre-Employment Transition Services (PreETS) Instructor
Location: Clark County School District (CCSD), Nevada

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pre-Employment Transition Services (PreETS) Instructor to join our team and support students within the Clark County School District (CCSD). The PreETS Instructor will provide services designed to help students with disabilities prepare for post-secondary education and employment opportunities. This role involves working directly with students, school staff, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver PreETS curriculum to students in CCSD, focusing on the five required activities: job exploration counseling, work-based learning experiences, counseling on opportunities for enrollment in comprehensive transition or post-secondary educational programs, workplace readiness training, and instruction in self-advocacy.
- Assess students' skills, interests, and needs to create individualized service plans.
- Coordinate and facilitate workshops, field trips, job shadowing, and other activities related to PreETS.
- Collaborate with school staff and community organizations to provide comprehensive support to students.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and progress made by students.
- Monitor and report on students' progress towards achieving their transition goals.
- Stay current with best practices and developments in the field of transition services for students with disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a transition services or educational setting.
- Knowledge of PreETS and the five required activities.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, school staff, and community partners.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to drive to schools throughout the Las Vegas area.
- Ability to pass a background check for state as well as CCSD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching certification or relevant licensure.
- Experience in career counseling or vocational rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with local community resources and organizations supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Retired teachers strongly encouraged to apply!
