Service Manager – Construction Equipment

Position Summary:
Durante Equipment is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and hard-working Service Manager for our Hollywood location. The Service Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing our service team members. Monitor the quality of service provided by the team and secure timely response and adherence to company standards and industry best practices. Ensures excellent customer service as well as maintains strong relationships with customers. The Service Manager will have the responsibility of taking their team through the entire repair process, inclusive of ensuring that equipment is satisfactorily leaving the shop through rental. This position requires that the repairs are properly documented and billed accurately.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Present the best solution to properly repair our inventory of equipment economically and sound.
- Manage the shop workflow in an efficient manner.
- Bill our services with honesty and integrity.
- Review time sheets for accuracy and input into POR System.
- Handle all road service repairs and properly communicate with customers.
- Work in conjunction with our parts department to order parts as necessary.
- Review final invoices.
- Identify and oversee administration and billing of rental damage claims and warranty claims.
- Oversees training and supervising of service department staff.
- Creates a positive culture.
- Supervises and directs employees.
- Prepares business goals daily and annually.
- Assists coworkers as needed.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and infrequent lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb over and into equipment
- Fast paced environment.
