Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel valued and comfortable
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using Toast systems
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and explaining specials when appropriate
- Maintain clear communication with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely seating and service
- Handle guest inquiries, resolve concerns promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction through excellent guest relations
- Keep the host station organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering reservation calls or guest inquiries
Experience
- Previous experience as a Host or in a similar customer service role within food service or hospitality environments preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS, Toast or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hotel or guest services enhances your ability to deliver exceptional hospitality
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and guest relations best practices is a plus
