Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Lead, Assistant, or Substitute Teacher! Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive environment that encourages curiosity and respect among children.
- Support children’s individual needs through tailored child development instruction and early intervention strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behaviors, and achievements to foster strong partnerships.
- Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining first aid and CPR certifications, and following health protocols.
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, diapering or toileting, nap times, and classroom organization.
- Collaborate with team members to develop lesson plans that incorporate childhood development best practices and standardized testing when applicable.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Background in early childhood education, preschool teaching, or toddler/infant care is desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged.
- Ability to follow mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
- Prior experience with private schools or preschool environments is a plus.
