What You’ll Do
Lead Critical Projects
You’ll be the senior technical presence on commercial fire alarm and low-voltage projects, overseeing installations, inspections, troubleshooting, and service work from start to finish.
Mentor & Develop Technicians
This role is more than technical — it’s leadership. You’ll train and guide apprentice technicians in the field, helping build a stronger, smarter team every day.
Drive Quality & Performance
You’ll help maintain high standards across the division by ensuring code compliance, jobsite organization, accurate documentation, and professional customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership
- Lead commercial fire alarm installation, inspection, service, and troubleshooting projects
- Coordinate and direct daily work for apprentice technicians
- Keep projects on schedule while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Communicate material needs, scope changes, and scheduling impacts proactively
- Maintain accurate as-builts, test records, and commissioning documentation
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service response
Training & Mentorship
- Serve as the lead field trainer for apprentice technicians
- Teach wiring methods, panel programming, device installation, testing procedures, and code application
- Reinforce NFPA 72 standards, safety expectations, and division best practices
- Identify training opportunities and support technician growth and development

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of fire alarm installation and/or service experience
- Proven ability to independently lead projects or crews in the field
- Strong understanding of NFPA and IBC code requirements
- Experience programming fire alarm panels (any major manufacturer)
- Ability to read and redline drawings and riser diagrams
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- NH Journeyman Electrician License (Maine license is a plus)
- NICET Fire Alarm certifications
- Experience with Fire-Lite, Notifier, or similar systems
- Exposure to access control, surveillance, or low-voltage systems
- Experience mentoring junior technicians
- Familiarity with Inspect Point, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office, and iOS devices
