Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging purchases
- Assist with merchandising efforts by organizing displays and stocking shelves to maintain an attractive store environment
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and conducting inventory checks to ensure product availability
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with precision and integrity
- Promote upselling opportunities by recommending complementary products and special offers to customers
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail setting
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team environments
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales is beneficial for understanding store workflows
- Skilled in customer service with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Capable of conducting product demos confidently to engage customers effectively
