The General Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the facility, ensuring smooth operations, high service standards, and a well-supported team. - Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations professionally and promptly.
- Monitor facility cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies as needed.
- Track key operational metrics (occupancy, staffing costs, customer satisfaction) and report to ownership.
- Assist with hiring and onboarding of new staff.
- Coordinate with ownership on budgeting, planning, and business priorities.
- Step in to support hands-on pet care or front-desk operations when needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of management or supervisory experience, ideally in pet care, hospitality, or a service-based industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with animals and knowledgeable about (or willing to learn) pet care/safety best practices.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions independently.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to be on-site during regular business hours.
- Basic proficiency with scheduling and business software (POS systems, scheduling tools, etc.) a plus.
Schedule
This is a primarily on-site, full-time role during regular business hours. Weekend availability may occasionally be needed to support the team, though this role does not include regularly scheduled weekend shift coverage (staffed separately).
