Salvage & Co. Indy is looking for a friendly, customer-focused Showroom Experience Specialist to help customers navigate our furniture showroom and create an exceptional shopping experience.
This role is not a traditional commissioned furniture sales position and is not a visual merchandising role. Instead, you'll serve as a knowledgeable guide who helps customers find products, answers questions, and ensures the showroom remains organized and welcoming.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist showroom customers.
- Help customers locate products and answer questions.
- Explain pickup, delivery, and purchasing processes.
- Monitor showroom appearance and organization.
- Straighten displays and maintain clean walkways.
- Assist customers with product information and measurements.
- Help identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure products are properly displayed.
- Capture occasional photos or videos of showroom inventory for marketing purposes.
Qualifications:
- Friendly and outgoing personality.
- Strong communication skills.
- Comfortable interacting with customers.
- Able to walk the showroom for extended periods.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Furniture experience is helpful but not required.
- Retail, hospitality, customer service, or event experience preferred.
Success in this role is measured by customer experience, showroom organization, and overall customer satisfaction—not commission sales.
Important notes: this is a 40 hour week full time position Tuesday-Saturday 9-5. We are a small business and do not offer benefits at this time. We realize this does not work for everyone and want to make you aware of this before applying for this position.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
