We are seeking a tenacious, skilled and dependable Construction Laborer to join our residential remodeling team. The ideal candidate is a versatile tradesperson with hands-on experience across multiple remodeling disciplines, including carpentry, tile setting, drywall finishing, painting, and general site maintenance. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can operate independently on job sites, manage time effectively, and deliver quality and precise results with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Carpentry & Structural Work
- Frame walls, install blocking, and perform rough and finish carpentry tasks
- Install doors, windows, trim, molding, and cabinetry
- Cabinet Installation, Crown Molding
- Repair and replace structural elements as needed during remodels
Tile Setting
- Prepare substrates, apply mortar/adhesive, and set ceramic, porcelain, or natural stone tile
- Cut tile to fit layouts using wet saws and hand tools
- Grout, caulk, and seal completed tile installations
Drywall Finishing
- Hang, tape, mud, and sand drywall to a paint-ready finish
- Repair existing drywall and match texture on patch work
- Install corner beads and trim accessories
Painting
- Prepare surfaces through patching, sanding, and priming
- Apply interior paint (brush, roller, and sprayer as needed)
- Maintain clean paint lines and professional finish standards
General Site & Cleaning Duties
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
- Remove construction debris and haul materials as directed
- Assist with loading, unloading, and staging of materials and equipment
- Perform general labor tasks as assigned by the project supervisor
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
- 2–5 years of experience in residential remodeling or construction
- Demonstrated proficiency in two or more trades (carpentry, tile, drywall, painting)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record — must be able to operate company vehicles
- Must own and maintain a personal set of hand tools
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks without direct supervision
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the workday
- Ability to work in varied outdoor and exposed conditions (weather, dust, noise)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
Preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience reading basic blueprints, floor plans, or work orders
- Familiarity with power tools including circular saws, drills, and multi-tools
- Basic understanding of building codes for residential work
Physical & Working Conditions
This position involves frequent physical activity including standing, kneeling, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs or more. Work is performed primarily at residential job sites, which may include indoor and outdoor environments. Exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions is expected. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday; occasional early starts or weekend availability may be required based on project schedules.
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
