We are supporting an emerging electric vehicle company developing next-generation EV platforms and prototype vehicles focused on performance, lightweight architecture, and modern electric mobility systems.
The team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in EV development, mechanical integration, and prototype vehicle programs. This position is expected to begin as a contract engagement with the potential to convert to a full-time direct hire role.
Responsibilities:

Lead design and integration of mechanical systems across EV platforms

Support battery system packaging, mounting, and integration

Collaborate closely with electrical and controls engineering teams

Drive design reviews, prototyping, validation, and engineering change processes

Develop mechanical design standards and best practices

Support vehicle builds, troubleshooting, and system-level integration efforts
Preferred Background:

7+ years of mechanical engineering experience

Experience within EV, automotive, mobility, or transportation systems

Strong understanding of battery systems, chassis integration, thermal considerations, and prototype development

CAD proficiency

Startup or early-stage product development experience preferred

Ability to work in a fast-moving engineering environment
Salary Level: Estimated $130K–$160K base salary
