CAD Designer / Jewelry Designer (MatrixGold, Rhino)

Adam Pearl Jewelers is seeking a talented CAD Designer / Jewelry Designer to help bring our clients' visions to life through exceptional design and precision engineering.
We specialize in custom engagement rings, fine jewelry, heirloom redesigns, and one-of-a-kind pieces. We're looking for someone who combines creativity with technical expertise and understands both aesthetics and manufacturability.
Responsibilities
- Design custom jewelry using MatrixGold, Rhino, or comparable CAD software
- Create production-ready CAD models for casting and manufacturing
- Develop photorealistic renderings for client presentations and approvals
- Collaborate with clients and our team to refine concepts into finished designs
- Prepare files for CAM production, 3D printing, and casting
- Ensure designs are structurally sound and optimized for manufacturing
- Modify and revise existing CAD models based on client feedback
- Maintain organized project files and design documentation
- Work closely with our bench jeweler to ensure seamless production
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional jewelry CAD experience
- Proficiency in MatrixGold and/or Rhino
- Experience creating production-ready jewelry CAD files
- Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes
- Ability to create accurate gemstone settings and complex assemblies
- Experience with engagement rings, wedding bands, and fine jewelry
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CAM preparation and 3D printing workflows
- Knowledge of gemstone proportions and setting techniques
- Familiarity with casting requirements and manufacturing tolerances
- Experience with KeyShot or other rendering software
- Bench jewelry or manufacturing experience is a plus
- Experience designing luxury or high-end custom jewelry
